Canyon Crest Family Student Housing has a variety of recreational facilities located throughout the complex for family use. Facilities and their locations are as follows:
Canyon Crest Park
Located in the heart of the complex, the park offers various recreational opportunities for families. There’s a toddlers playground area, a big kids play area, baseball diamond, horseshoe/volleyball area, picnic benches and a covered barbecue area. Residents may reserve the park if they want to have a special event by completing a request at the Crest Resident Services Office. Reservations cannot be made more than 30 days prior to the event. Picnic tables may be reserved for events at your home. The rental fee is $5.00 per table and you must allow 48 hours to arrange to have the tables delivered to your home.
Crest Community Center
The Community Center is located at 892 Plum Street. It is adjacent to the computer lab. It is available to reserve Sun-Thurs, 8:00 am - 10:00 pm and Fri-Sat 8:00 am - 12:00 am. There is a full service kitchen available to prepare meals for special events, indoor tables and chairs and a lounge area. In the backyard of the Community Center, there are picnic tables if you wish to hold an event outdoors. Residents may reserve the Community Center if they want to have a special event by completing a request no sooner than 30 days prior to the event at the Crest Resident Services Office. The Computer Lab is located next to the Community Center, which can be reserved for private parties. Please use proper etiquette and do not disturb users of either area.
Resident Lounge
The Resident lounge is located in the front section of the Community Center. There are comfortable couches and chairs for you to relax and take in a nice novel or just do some catch-up on your reading. You will need to stop by the Crest Resident Services Office to check availability, fill out a reservation form, and get a passkey to gain access. The room is available for Residents to use daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sun-Thu and Fri-Sat 8:00 am to 12:00 am and is a designated “Non Smoking” area.
Use of Facilities
Use of all complex facilities is controlled so that you and other Residents can equally benefit from them. Requests to reserve and use the facilities for events must be filed with the Crest Resident Services Office at least ten (10) working days in advance of the event (see Party Policy).
